A rare novelty antique late Victorian era rugby ball inkwell.
The inkwell is covered in leather with lace detailing on the top. At the front a concealed button under the leather which releases the sprung lid open. The inside has a gilded ink chamber with a lever to the side which is released to open the lid. Once opened the removable glass inkwell is revealed.
This a really sweet small size (4cm high x 6cm wide x 4.5cm deep approximately) and in good overall condition, but does have some age related wear to the leather and an ink stain! Please review all photos for your reference thanks.
